Grow Your Practice
If you are new to our classes
- Listen to your body and be aware of your physical abilities. Please take responsibility not to hurt yourself. In a class with mixed levels of experience you may see other students exploring different poses or degrees of a posture. Honor where you are at and do not push yourself beyond your limits.
- There may be modifications that may make the practice more suitable to your needs. You may consider scheduling a private lesson or series of private classes to help you adapt challenging positions or to design your own program.
- We strive to offer a space that is a safe and free from judgments. Our community is an encouraging group where we can be ourselves, and accept and inspire one another to build our practice. You may find it enhances your commitment to practice by finding a ‘yoga buddy’ to support you to come regularly! It’s a great way to keep up your enthusiasm and interest.
- Yoga is a process. Be consistent in your practice, recognizing that regularity in your practice is preferable to practicing sporadically to your maximum! Be patient and compassionate with yourself.
